Welcome to the new Alton Towers heritage website.  We are very proud of our heritage and hope that you enjoy reading about our history and our position within the local area.  Staffordshire University have been invaluable in providing their expertise and manpower to help with this project, something for which we are very grateful.  However, pulling together information from the many archives around the UK is a massive undertaking, and it will be some time before we have uploaded everything that we would like to share.    In the meantime, please bear with us as the site grows and develops, and if you have anything that you would like to add or comment on, please do so by using the contact details on the left of the screen.
