This section of the website concentrates on the rich and varied history of the house, gardens and grounds. We owe a particular debt of gratitude to Dr Gary Kelsall from Staffordshire University who has spent many hours pulling together information from numerous archives around the country to populate the various sections.  It’s updated as often as time allows and we welcome additions from members of the public, whether photographic or written.
